Mr.Jayakumar M M by educational qualification is a Diploma holder in Chemical Technology from Govt. Poly Technic College, Kalamassery. He is a BSc Chemistry graduate from Vyasa College, Wadakkanchery, Thrissur District. He also holds the B-Tech Chemical Engineering degree from Govt Engineering College, Thrissur.

M. M. Jayakumar is a visionary technocrat who ventured into the specialized field of manufacturing temperature sensors, particularly NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors, an electronic component, in 1993. His journey began after gaining 13 years of experience at Kerala’s leading PSU, KELTRON (Kerala State Electronic Development Corporation), where he served at both the Thrissur and Kuttippuram units. In 1993 Jayakumar founded Nila Tech Private Limited as his first entrepreneurial venture. the company focused on producing NTC thermistors— a new generation of temperature sensors known for their superior accuracy and precision. In 2003, He established Sowparnika Associates, initially a proprietorship, which was later converted into a private limited company, expanding its business footprint. At present Sowparnika Thermistors and Hybrids Ltd. stands as the holding company, with Nila Tech Pvt. Ltd. and STH Sensors Pvt. Ltd. as its subsidiaries.

Under his leadership Sowparnika was able to achieve the following recognitions

1. National Award for the Best MSME in 2022
2. State Award for the Best MSME in 2015-16,
3. Safety Award Factories & Boilers Department in 2023
4. District-level Best MSME Award in 2024.
5. Productivity Award by Kerala State Productivity Council in the year 2024
